Widgets for a Mobile Application of Intelligent Home Control
Mlynarič, Tomáš ; Korček, Pavol (referee) ; Žádník, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with development of widgets designed for intelligent home control in the environment of Android operation system. The intelligent home control is a framework developed at FIT BUT. The thesis introduces the framework and explains principals of developing widgets. The practical part discusses design and implementation of the specific widgets. The implementation is evaluated and the results are discussed. The concluding section provides summary and suggests future improvements.
Broadcast and multicast services in mobile networks
Konštanský, David ; Růčka, Lukáš (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
This bachelor studies describe differents principles and possibilities of groupsending of multimedia data in contemporary mobile network with the intention of a Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service in UMTS networks. This work analyse the architecture of solutions, processes of data transmission and types of coding of multimedia content of this service in UMTS networks. This paper also consider actual situation of application of Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service in 3G networks and offer a comparison of technologies of the standard DBV-H.
Link aggregation using Mikrotik network nodes
Surový, Roman ; Jeřábek, Jan (referee) ; Koton, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to get acquainted with the principles and option of aggregation network lines. Then apply the acquired knowledge in configuring and testing the performance of network elements in MikroTik operating modes, for example, by IEEE802.3ad, balance-rr, and many others. Properties of the selected mode will be shown, which will be demonstrated error–free operation. As well as operation and case of failure in re–configuring for some lines.
The Proposal of Marketing Management of Software Company
Rient, Walter ; Neveselý, Marek (referee) ; Petráš, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis has analysed current strategy of company AKI-Sport s.r.o.. Main objective was to search and classify parts of the strategy and based on this research to formulate proper recommendations. All recommended steps would have positive and straight impact on improvements of company solid position.
Visualization of relations between computers in the Internet
Cimbálek, Přemysl ; Malý, Jan (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) transmits the television signal over the TCP/IP family of protocols. Its advantages are for example that the transmitting is not only one-way as in the “classical” TV broadcasting, but it can provide feedback such as interactivity. There are also some problems which avoids development, for example low channel capacity of access networks. That is why new methods , for example how to get more efficiency in IPTV transmission, are proposed. The main task of this diploma thesis is to visualize tree structure of relations between nodes in the network, based on understanding of principles of the hierarchical summarization and IPTV transmitting. The nodes in the tree structure provide computing and summarizing of the data in back-way channel. There is the data from the end users in this channel. In the first part of this diploma thesis there is explained the principle of IPTV and its differences as compared with classical TV broadcasting. The part is also aimed for the supported services, advantages and disadvantages. There is explained the compressing data with the MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 standards and problems with transport networks called “last mile problem.” To transmitting data IPTV uses Source Specific Multicast – every user connects to the multicast session with requested TV program. Feedback is provided by unicast. Feedback network uses the hierarchical summarization principle to reduce the data. This problem, connected with RTP, RTCP and TTP protocols, is in the work described as well. There is an international experimental network called PlanetLab mentioned in theoretical part of this work. Proposed structure of new protocol and applications including the visualization for IPTV broadcast, is tested in that network. In the practical part of this work there are discussed possibilities and methods for the visualization and data storage. Because of high availability and flexibility, there were chosen web technologies, such as MySQL for data storage. The tree model is executed by Java. The visualization is solved by web technologies, source code for visualization is dynamically generated by scripts in JSP (Java Server Pages). Graphical output is provided by the vector format SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) which is created for graphical expression on the internet and in the mobile phones. There were created interactive web application thanks its ability to cooperation with Javascript technology. This application visualizes relation-tree structure of nodes. In this work there are explained basics of all used technologies, there are also given reasons for chosen methods and formats. Examples and interesting parts of solution are mentioned as well.
Use of TCP/IP Protocols for Algorithm Control in Real-Time Digital Audio Signal Processing
Pilch, Martin ; Plchot, Oldřich (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of protocol for control of digital audio signal processing over TCP/IP networks. The application of this protocol in embedded audio processing units allows to remote control of real-time processing of digital audio signals. The library, this thesis disserts on, allows for superior and faultless transfer of data and accordingly reliable control of audio signal processing at long distances via the local network or Internet. This library is designed to transfer any type of data and can be applied in any sphere.
Laboratory scenarios explaining the basics of communication protocols
Pokorný, Karel ; Burda, Karel (referee) ; Jeřábek, Jan (advisor)
The goal of this thesis was to design two complex scenarios with focus on different kinds of transmission in packet-switched networks. First scenario is about ARQ (Automatic Repeat Request) protocols. It consists of introduction to Stop-and-Wait, Go Back N and Selective Repeat protocols and their comparison. Second scenario compares unicast, multicast, broadcast and anycast transmission methods. Both scenarios use applications which can simulate particular methods or protocols. These applications along with virtual environments are used for demonstration of characteristics of these methods/protocols.
Red steady go - story about prostitute Tereza
Džindžichašvili, Michael ; Gulda, Jana (advisor) ; Lovaš, Karol (referee)
Practical bachelor thesis Red steady go - story about prostitute Tereza uses the form of a broadcast documentary, which aims to capture and show the story comprehensively in the different roles of the respondent - as a prostitute, daughter, partner and an addict. The theoretical part defines the fundmental terms - the definition and first theoretical approach of prostitution, street, risk sex and gender. Furthermore divides the various forms of prostitution - street, private and club. The definition of the documentary form of the practical part, as well as a summary of the life of my respondent, is covered. Methodology of the work is described. Throughout the many levels of the character the audiodocumentary (practical part) seeks the reasons and experiences, that resulted in the present story of the respondent. The general level in the story is represented by a therapist and adictologist Ilona Preslová. Individual thematic parts are separeted by musical elements.
Twitch: Interactive Workshop, Café or Billboard?
BRIXÍ, Václav
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze chosen live-streaming platform and the term itself. Particular emphasis is focused on the description of Twitch.tv and its functions. An important segment is the stratification of represented content creators into three archetypal groups. The central element of this thesis is the aspect of interactivity, which defines streaming in all of its forms. Based on this author tries to present streaming as an artistic activity and the individual channels as an artificially created space suitable for easy self-presentation.
Mass streaming in Czech Republic
VOJTA, Tomáš
Streaming is a technology that enables the real-time distribution of audio, video and multimedia content on the Internet. These days, the term ``streaming{\crq}q is becoming more widespread due to internet broadcasting of various radio and television stations. Therefore streaming will be the leading topic of this bachelor thesis. Firstly, the description of the technology itself will be mentioned. Secondly, a research on required hardware and software equipment will be carried( platform Adobe, Windows Media, RealMedia).
